Enrollment: Class enrollment is by preregistration, on a first-come-first-served basis. When classes are full, students will be put on a waiting list or may be offered another class, meeting at a different day and/or time. Registrations are accepted after a session has begun, providing space is available.
Fees: There is a $20 registration fee for all new and returning enrollments. There is no registration fee for students currently enrolled. Private Lesson and Class Lessons are all $225 for 10 weeks.
Tuition: Tuition is due on or before the first class. Joyful Sounds reserves the right to cancel classes with insufficient enrollment. A full refund will be given only when a class is canceled.
Refund Policy: If Joyful Sounds must cancel a class, a full refund will be given. If a student withdraws two weeks before class begins, a full refund will be given. Students withdrawing before the second class meeting will be refunded 50% of the tuition; no material or registration fees will be refunded. There are no refunds after the second class meeting.
Early Education Classes: Students may register for classes at any time. Students may enter a class that is currently in session. Tuition fees will be prorated according to the date of registration, and material fees will remain the same.

Instructor Illness/Absence: The Studio reserves the right to provide a substitute instructor if the regular instructor is ill or otherwise unable to attend a lesson. If an instructor is ill and the Studio is unable to provide a substitute, any missed lessons will be made up.
General Policy: Joyful Sounds strongly urges our students and/or parents of students to NOT attend a class if one or both is sick. An illness is defined as any contagious infection which may be accompanied by any or all of the following symptoms: fever above 99.0 degrees, runny nose and sneezing due to infection, diarrhea, stomach cramps, and/or vomiting, skin rashes, sore throat, and coughing due to the common cold or other infections.
Private Piano, Voice and Instrumental Students: When a student is unable to attend a scheduled lesson, contact the teacher prior to lesson time to reschedule the lesson. One (1) lesson/trimester may be rescheduled.
Class Piano, Voice, and Homeschool Ensemble Students: The benefits of consistent attendance lends to successful performance and allows students to keep up with the rest of the students in the class. If a student misses a class due to illness, she/he is welcome to attend another class of the same level if one is available.
Early Childhood Classes: It is recommended that students make up missed classes whenever possible. Check the current schedule for availability of your child's class level scheduled on other days or times. It is not required to call ahead.
All Early Childhood Classes will be held in the Joyful Sounds Studio located at 21-B Newport Drive.
