Current Course Offerings in Early Elementary Education:
Kindermusik™ Village (newborn-18 months)
Kindermusik™ Village involves the family in music making that nurtures the bond between parent and child while acknowledging each young child's unique responses and development timetable. Your educator will teach you how to encourage your baby's learning through vocal play, object exploration, instruments, and creative movement. Each class meets once per week for 45 minutes. (8 weeks)
Tuesdays 10:45-11:15 am Tuition: $120; Materials: $33.95
Thursdays 11:00-11:45 am (6% tax not included)
Kindermusik Sign and Sing® offers parents and caregivers techniques for communicating with children through American Sign Language (ASL) signs and singing. Playful songs and activities help parents become comfortable with signing. These shared activities promote healthy families by fostering intimacy, communication, and learning between parents and children. Each class is 45 minutes for 5 weeks each session. Materials include Family Activity Guide, DVD glossary showing 60 signs, Clip-on flashcards that feature photos of both children and adults using family-friendly American Sign Language signs.
Kindermusik Family Time® "Our Kind of Day" In this family-sized version of Kindermusik, the music and activities involve the five things that happen around your house: playtime, mealtime, clean-up time, bath time, and nighttime. Your At Home Materials include hand and finger puppets of the Kangaroo and Joey characters featured in the two literature books. Plus, two home CDs of music from class, a home activity guide, and two double egg shaker instruments. Each item has been carefully created to bring out the music - and the learning - in your family. Specially designed to fit the carying ages and learning abilities of your children, this set will help you bring the learning and the music-making home, as well as become a lasting, well-loved favorite of the toy box and book shelf.
SUMMER Special Classes will be available in Summer 2009.
All Early Childhood classes will be held in the Joyful Sounds Studio located at 21-B Newport Drive.
