 Improve your skills and further your musical ability with our Individual Music Lessons. Whether you are a student looking to achieve more success at school, or an adult looking to gain or improve your musical talent, we have flexibile scheduling options available.

Private Voice Lessons Voice lessons are available for students age 5 and up. Lessons are scheduled on an individual basis. No prior experience is necessary. Each lesson is 30 minutes.
Private Instrumental Lessons ... Private lessons are available on piano, violin, viola, cello, flute, clarinet, oboe, saxophone, trumpet, trombone, guitar, bass guitar, and percussion for elementary through high school students. Each lesson is 30 minutes.
PRIVATE LESSONS ARE TAUGHT at the First Presbyterian Church located in Bel Air at 224 North Main Street. The Church is directly across the street from the Klein's ShopRite Supermarket. When you enter the parking lot of the Church from Main Street, the building will be on your right. Park in front of the second building which is called the Education Building. Use the doors from the parking lot side. Our classrooms are on the second floor. LESSONS ARE ALSO TAUGHT at the Katsu Annex, 802 Yvette Drive, Forest Hill, MD 21050

There is a registration fee of $20 per child for new enrollments.
PRIVATE SUMMER LESSONS
Parents and students often indicate an interest in taking lessons during the summer months. This is particularly a good time to keep working on music skills. We do offer lessons in the summer. Instructor availability is limited during the summer. Many of our Instructors take time off for the summer, teach fewer hours and/or often change their times and days just for the summer months. It is extremely important that you register early for the summer. Registrations will be accepted at any time. Tuition ($22.50/Half-Hour Lesson) is determined by the number of lessons the student desires to take for the summer months. (Be sure to take into consider your vacation days.)

How To Register for Summer Lessons
We must have a confirmation from you in the form of registration
and payment to hold your spot. The fee ($22.50/half hour or $40.50/hour) must be paid in full for the summer. The amount is determined by the number of lessons you are planning to take times the tuition amount.
STEP 1: Call or email the office for Instructor/Instrument availability for your day of choice.
STEP 2: Determine the dates when you will be available to take lessons. (Usually 6-8 lessons)
STEP 3: Calculate tuition due by multiplying the number of days times the tuition amount.
STEP 4: Complete a summer registration form and send the form with your tuition payment to: Joyful Sounds, PO Box 691, Forest Hill MD 21050

Course Offerings for Summer Individual Music Lessons:
Private Instruction in the Summer session is offered on a first-come-first-served basis for the Beginning through Advanced instrumental and vocal student. Lessons are offered on: Voice, Flute, Oboe, Clarinet, Saxophone, Trumpet, Trombone, Baritone, Violin, Viola, Cello, Guitar, Bass Guitar, Piano, and Drums. Lessons are 30 minutes per week for six (6) weeks. Flexible scheduling is provided to allow for two (2) make-up lessons. Lessons are schedule on an individual basis. Call for Instructor availability. Times vary.
